Tesla temporarily shuts down Model 3 assembly line
Tesla says it temporarily shut down the Model 3 assembly line at its Fremont factory on Monday.
It's the second shutdown since February. The automaker says the planned pause is part of its effort to "improve automation and systematically address bottlenecks" in the production of its first entry-level electric car.
After repeated delays in production of its Model 3 sedan, Tesla is now trying to catch up to a target of building 2,500 vehicles per week by the end of the second quarter.
